We will be running the following teams next season
under 7s (school year 1 & 2)
under 8s (school year 3)
under 9s (school year 4)
under 10s (school year 5)
under 11s (school year 6)
under 12s (school year 7)

All those teams will form our "minis section" and this is for girls and boys who play mixed rugby.

We also aim to develop an under 13s (school year 8) but this is dependant on summer recruitment.

As previously reported the club have been selected as an RFU focus club for girls rugby and we are delighted to announce that we will be developing three girls teams. These will be:
under 13s (school year 7&8)
under 15s (school year 9&10)
under 18s (school year 11, 12, & 13)
These will be developing teams playing contact rugby.

We are also looking to develop a ladies team and this has already started with a ladies only rugby boot camp on a Wednesday evening.

Dates
Friday 14th August -
10.30 - 12.00 Taster session for school year 1 - 6, girls and boys
1.00 - 2.30pm Taster session for school year 7 and above girls and boys.

Sunday 23rd August 10.30am
Preseason training for all junior teams

Sunday 30th August
Bank Holiday Weekend, no training

Sunday 6th September 10.30am
First session of the season for all teams. And then every Sunday thereafter.
There will be an introductory session for parents in the club house whilst the kids are training.

Wednesday Evenings
The under 12s and 13s will be training Wednesday evenings at the club 6.00pm start.
All girls teams will be training at the same time, 6.00pm and will continue throughout the season.

Friday 18th September. All teams will be training 6pm -7pm as its the opening game of the Rugby World Cup. There will be food in the club for kids and a massive screen to watch England take on Fiji. All England RWC games will be screened in the club. More details about the RWC will be posted soon.

Little Monkeys Rugby Group
Sunday 6th September will see our first pre-school rugby group. Places are limited. The session will start at 10.30am for an hour. It will be a 6 week trial at first.

Events
August 22nd - Premiership 7s. We have free tickets for the Premiership 7s at Newcastle Falcons. See one of the coaches for details.
Sunday 27th September - Trip to Flamingo Land. Let one of the coaches know if you would like to go. Training for those not going.
Sunday 1st November - Halloween party 2pm - 6pm
Friday 2nd of October - Race night. 7.00pm in the club.

We expect rugby to really take off this season especially with England hosting the Rugby World Cup. Hartlepool has also been selected to be part of the All Schools Programme which means school children will be playing a lot more rugby at school. And with Rovers now having a girls/ladies section we have teams for everyone no matter what sex or ability.
