This month we are delighted to recognise Lucas Hensford as our Volunteer of the Month.
Lucas is a familiar face around the club, not only as a player for our Under 14s, but also as someone who is always willing to lend a hand whenever help is needed.
On match days, Lucas regularly assists with a range of important jobs, including running touch, helping with flags and putting out post protectors, ensuring our games can take place safely and smoothly.
Away from the pitch, Lucas has also worked tremendously hard behind the scenes. He volunteered his time serving meals and helping with pot washing at our recent Sporting Dinner, Club Dinner, and County Fixture, showing a fantastic commitment to supporting the club and its events.
As a token of our appreciation and to thank him for all of his hard work, Lucas was presented with a 1st Team shirt.
Rugby clubs like Rovers survive and thrive thanks to the dedication of volunteers of all ages. Lucas is a brilliant example that you are never too young to make a positive contribution to your club. His enthusiasm, reliability and willingness to help wherever needed embody the values that make our club such a special place.
A huge thank you to Lucas for everything he does – thoroughly deserved recognition!
Interested in volunteering? Whether it's helping on match days, supporting events, assisting with catering, or getting involved in any other way, we'd love to hear from you. Volunteers are the lifeblood of our club, and every contribution makes a difference.
