Hartlepool Rovers Celebrate the Opening of the Stainton Lounge

Last Saturday Hartlepool Rovers were thrilled to welcome Anthony Smith from Stainton Lighting Design Services to the New Friarage to mark the formal opening of the ‘Stainton Lounge.’ It was fitting that the opening of the new lounge coincided with the Clubs volunteer appreciation event.

A long-time supporter of the Club, Stainton LDS has generously sponsored the lounge for the next five years. Their financial contribution, in partnership with an RFU legacy grant, was crucial in funding the modernisation of the lounge. This project reclaimed the old museum, relocated the bar, and created much-needed space for our players, members, supporters, and patrons.

The Stainton Lounge adds a dynamic aspect to the Clubhouse, complementing the larger front bar area. It's a warm and welcoming space, perfect for smaller gatherings of up to 50 people, complete with a private bar and numerous TVs for live sports.

We extend our gratitude to Ian & Kevin Pinchen, Glyn Hewitt, and all others who assisted in stripping out the old space. There are plenty others who gave their time to work on the project. We also want to commend the high-quality workmanship provided by Benchmark Joinery, Hart Electrical, and MB Groundworks during the overhaul.

The memorabilia that the Club cherishes has been repositioned into prominent displays, featuring new cabinets handcrafted by Steve Jones of Benchmark Joinery, including a dedicated display for Hartlepool Rovers' own British and Irish Lions shirts worn and donated by Mr. J. Dee.

Once again, we thank Stainton Lighting Design Services for their unwavering support, helping us make the New Friarage a place that all Rovers can proudly call home.

If you would like to hold your function in the Stainton Lounge please speak directly to the club.
