Hartlepool Rovers travel to Eden Lane this afternoon looking to maintain their perfect start to the season and keep pace at the top of the table. Four wins from four have seen Rovers collect the maximum 20 points so far, sitting second only on league positioning behind Darlington Mowden Park II and firmly establishing themselves as one of the early pace-setters in the division.

Last weekend's comprehensive victory over Middlesbrough II reinforced the momentum building within the squad. Today's selection shows a blend of continuity and fresh energy, with several changes in personnel but a strong spine retained through the side. Lee Clayton, Harry Calvert, Tyler Dean, Jack Gunn, Cam Lithgo and Josh Wilson all feature as Rovers look to continue the form that has delivered four successive league wins.

The hosts come into the fixture sitting ninth in the table with one win and three defeats from their opening four matches. While league positions suggest Rovers will start as favourites, away fixtures are rarely straightforward and Peterlee & Horden will undoubtedly view the visit of one of the league's unbeaten sides as a significant opportunity to make a statement on home soil.

For Rovers, the challenge is clear. Continue the accuracy, physicality and work rate that have underpinned their strong start, while avoiding any complacency against a side eager to climb away from the lower reaches of the table. Victory would extend Rovers' unbeaten run to five matches and maintain pressure at the top of an increasingly competitive promotion race.

With confidence high following last week's impressive performance and another powerful squad available, Rovers will be aiming to produce another disciplined display and bring the points back to Hartlepool this afternoon.

Unfortunately there is no Heughers game today. Peterlee & Horden IIIs were unable to field a team. Whilst disappointing for the Rovers players we know exactly what it’s like when clubs are hit with injuries and unavailability’s. We have been in the same situation. We are sure we will see Peterlee & Horden IIIs at the New Friarage later in the season.
